Description :
This looks a great model, plan downloaded I now need to find some EPP as I’ve used my last sheets.
Can you give us a bit more detail on the control surfaces. Is this coupled aileron/elevator i.e. elevons and a rudder or is it ailerons, elevator and rudder.
I’ve lost something in the translation; « Warning. The ailerons must be cut to half the size of the nozzles for 3D use and allow full rudder travel while having a large rudder overload. Or cut in the continuity of the fin »
Apologies as my French is none existence.
Tony

Hello,
I think Lucas came here to drop off his plan but he doesn’t intend to come back … It’s a bit of a shame not to give more indications for the assembly of the rafale.
For tctele :
On the video, we can see that the model is controlled by coupling aileron/elevator and rudder. I can also give you some indications concerning the aileron warning if that still interests you.
I cut my rafale model. As the weather was not nice today, I took the opportunity to paint it. I chose the tiger meet 2008 decoration.
Greetings
Steevie

I cut it according to the dimensions of Lucas’s plan:
Wingspan : 566mm
Lenght : 907mm
For the equipment, it is the one indicated in the description of the video.

Identical to this

Noted. I can’t find EPP here, so use 5mm Depron instead. I enlarged the plans a little to fit a 6" Prop. Build so far so good.

Looking very good. I’m struggling to locate any type of foam at present here in the UK. I did have some alternative foam links somewhere but as usual I can’t find them! Very interested to when you set up the linkages. Are you having elevons and rudder separate? I ask as I’m not sure if there was some coupling going on, a bit confused by the translation on my part.

Lucas himself mentioned that his CG is right on the prop position and others may set forward by 3 cm. What’s your plan for CG position?

Hello KenChin,
Lucas mentioned that the model is horizontal when the center of gravity is 2cm behind the propeller. He indicated this in a response given in the comments to his youtube video. => Je nai pas calculé le cg mais il est droit quand je le prend 2 cm derrière l’helice
This is the centering that I will put on my model. It is not yet finished.

Hello all,
Here is the video of the first flight for my friend Pierre-André.
I can’t wait to finish mine … I put on the carbon reinforcements, put the radio on and he flies.

What an impressive video and nice design from this guy. Just such a shame he didn’t post in the pusher jet forum. This model could be more popular! Putting this on my “someday” build list.

Yeah good point, why is it in F3P?
